 Landscape
photography is my passion. The images on this site bare the fruits of
that passion.
Based
in Spokane, Washington, you'll find most of my images
reflect it's
urban landscape. Living here, I'm fortunate enough to be "in the
neighborhood" when the light is right, so it gives me an advantage over
those who live elsewhere. Of course, others that advantage where THEY
live, so I guess it evens out!
Along with Spokane images, you'll find images from all over
the Pacific
Northwest, from the fields of the Palouse in Eastern Washington, to
lighthouses on the coasts of Oregon and Washington. In addition, you'll
find lighthouses from the east coast of the United States.
My
first photographic loves were the deserts of the American West. You'll
see images from a variety of regions, especially in Utah and
Arizona. Sedona, AZ is a particular favorite of mine!
Born
in Indiana, but raised in Phoenix, Arizona, I've now been a resident of
Spokane since 1980. I am married, with 3 grown children, as well as 3
grandchildren.
I've
been
shooting pictures off and on since the 1970's, but I really became
passionate about photography in 2000. Now, I spend much of my
free time in pursuit of photographic excellence.
I am a Professional Protographers of Washington Certified
Judge, trained under the f/5.3 Judging Method. I have
judged/critiqued at meetings of several camera clubs in the Inland
Northwest.
I've
been involved with Spokane Camera Club since 2000.
I
am presently a member of Avenue West Gallery, an artist co-op in
Spokane, with more that 20 local and regional artists.
I offer classes on basic photography through Avneue West Gallery.
My
goal in
photography is simple: to capture the beauty I see in the world around
me, and share that with others. I've always been in awe of the
magnificence of mother nature, and so landscapes were my first
photographic love. And besides, there's never a shortage of subjects!
I've
been fortunate enough to visit many amazing sights. Please
share in my photographic journeys.
