The Looff Carousel is on the National Register of Historic Places and is one of the most beautiful and well preserved hand-carved wooden carousels still in existence. Spokane's Looff Carousel features 54 horses, 1 giraffe, 1 tiger, and 2 Chinese dragon chairs. As part of a major Riverfront Park renovation, the Carousel received a new home, opening in May 2018. A major component of the new building is it's climate controlled environment, helping to preserve the Carousel for generations to come.
